Should Pastors Be Able to Talk About Controversial Topics Such as Homosexuality in Sermons
It is now illegal in Canada to speak out against homosexuality. In America, it is often labeled hate speech. Is it our right under the first amendment to talk about such things? Or is it demeaning to quote the Bible or the Koran. What do you think?
They should be able to.

As far as I see, I have no right to stop a pastor from discussing controversial topics. I may disagree with certain pastors on their beliefs on homosexuality, but they are entitled to their opinion. If their congregation disagrees, they could oust the pastor themselves. The law has no place in matters of the topic of sermons. That being said, I do not advocate hate speech in any way. I simply abhor censorship, and recognize the importance of expression through words. As long as nobody is hurt, sermon away. Side: They should be able to.
