Most definitely not. Obviously the prisoner did something wrong. You need to accept the consequences and serve your time. Someone took the time and effort to get the person sent to jail and it's not fair to them to have them released early because of good behavior. I say that if you behave well then you only have to do the time you were given, if you behave badly, you stay longer. Side: No
This is a flawed discussion. The length of sentence given incorporates the possible early release for good behaviour. Thus, if someone gets 10 years for a crime, the judge has consciously decided that 5 years is the minimum term that they should serve, and they should only get out in that time with immaculate behaviour and sufficient regret, remorse and exemplified rehabilitation.
