Should Restaraunts such as, KFC and Mc Donalds be limited?

Should you somehow limit what KFC, Mc. donald, Burger King, Pizza Hut e.c.t sell?

Limiting would help prevent obesity. When KFC e.c.t was introduced in china the obesity level began to rise. These restaurants encourage the eating of junk food, which causes obesity.

They don't encourage eating junk food, they encourage grabbing a quick bite to eat if you're on the road or running low on money, its not their fault that some people go and eat there everyday. The worst thing for you is not fast food, its candy and soda, you want to try and "limit" (eventually ban) those as well?

Yes, it is true that its unlikely limmiting would do much now(it might have small changes), however restaraunts were one of the causes of high levels of obesity.

Limiting would be agaisnt the idea of freedom speech, and would be taking peoples freedom.

Side: No! why...

No, they are already limited by the marketplace, not every thing bill is spend in these restaurants. This is just ludicrous.

no. kfc mc donalds etc have a business. it is what they do. you cannot stop a person or company to stop their sales. this mostly remains upon the people themselves. if they think its too fattening, they should stop going in so much.

Side: No! why...

People decide what they eat. If they get fat from eating too much fast food, then that is there problem.

Side: No! why...

Such as how often they'll let people into their establishments? I don't think it'd be even a sound way to ensure that that policy even happens.

One of the main points of capitalism is to give the consumers choice. Just because many people choose to overuse fast food restaurants does not mean that any action should be taken against the restaurant itself. It is no fault of McDonalds, KFC, Pizza Hut, etc. that the general public does not know (or care) enough to realize that they are destroying their bodies by an excessive amount of junk food. Just like anything else, these fast food joints are fine if used properly (in moderation).
