Yes. Due to the continuing decline of morals and ethics among people, robots would be far better than what we have now. The chances of a robot sleeping with a student are very slim. Besides the moral behavior of teachers there is the argument that "Those that cannot do, teach." Our kids are learning from people who are failures. Kids deserve better than the worst they can get. A robot would be much better, they would be programed to be so. Side: Wunnah!

Sorry, but my view of teachers is based on their own record. Have teachers not sexual molested students or slept with students? Not to mention how lazy they are; Who else works 9 months and gets paid for 12 months? I would argue that the first type of near-human robot to be developed would in fact be a sex robot. Please proved proof of such a claim. Just because you are unable to get some and have some sick fantasy about a robot, doesn't mean everybody is as deranged as you are. Side: Wunnah!

ya the statement has truly described my reaction OVER MY DEAD BODY! how do i describe it: a teacher is a human being and she understands us more then we do cause she went through the sam thing she gives us comfort and relaxation. now what not to say about robots, robots are actually the living dead. they are living but they have no actual emotions, how can some have the passion to learn when a record dead voice is saying everything with no emotions plus if you throw some water on that stupid robot will then you can have a free period. This is out of the question! Robots can't provide the same helpful, passionate experiences that human teachers can and do today. Robots will teach only objective views and not allow students to develop their own views and beliefs. We can relate more to teachers and they love to teach (otherwise, why would they train to teach?), and by sharing their knowledge we are bettering ourselves. Without anecdotal evidence in class we are sure to be extremely bored. Side: Over My Dead Body!

Robots can't provide the same helpful, passionate experiences that human teachers can and do today. Says who? Maybe not with today's technology, but if something can be created by human action, why shouldn't it be able to be replicated? Robots will teach only objective views and not allow students to develop their own views and beliefs. How is this accomplished by humans in a way that robots could not? We can relate more to teachers and they love to teach (otherwise, why would they train to teach?), and by sharing their knowledge we are bettering ourselves. Well, a student doesn't necessarily need an inspiration from a love of teaching, they simply need to be inspired by passion for the material. A robot could, of course, present information with passion and give the student a reason to be passionate about the material. Without anecdotal evidence in class we are sure to be extremely bored. And a robot couldn't provide anecdotal evidence because... ? Side: Wunnah!
I don't think robots can replace humans at all despite their high level of artificial intelegence. They are unable to vocalise feedback responses to pupils in accordance to their personal level of progress. They cannot think and feel like humans. They cannot learn from their mistakes and furthermore despite being an advantage to the school owner in terms of not needing to pay wages to the robots , the hardware and software requirements of initial installation will be high ( possibly even to maintain them) Side: Over My Dead Body!

For the foreseeable future, robots will not be able to interact with humans (especially children) as effectively as another human would. Robots will surely be a powerful tool in education just like pencils, books, computers, and the internet are, but total replacement would be absurd. While robots will hopefully eliminate much of the need for human teachers, there will and should be human teachers for as long as humanity exists. Side: Over My Dead Body!
