Should Teenagers Be More Involved In Polotics?

Should teenagers be taken as seriously as adult when it comes to politics? Should they be able to vote or state an opinion that matters and/or counts when it comes to the laws that effect their everyday lives?

Teenagers will actually start to think more about politics when it comes around they will start bringing up questions that nobody would think of and questions that will actually get people to thinking,

Teenagers offer an insight that can be ever so important for the government, they need to capitalise. Although of course you will get some teens that will not participate or use their new found political responsibility wrong but at what age does this stop? Many adults are the same.

Teenagers, through the rigorous education system which we have today (for me in the UK) have a skill set that prepares them for politics, I believe that politics needs to be included more within the education system. Why give teenagers the skills to debate and critique arguments through topics such as History and even more now English, if we aren't going to let them engage in politics, topics debated amongst local councils and places of similar stature have an affect on these teenagers and given the chance, I think many teens would revel in the opportunity to stick up for what they believe and stimulate change throughout their local areas and maybe even their country.

Nope. This new generation is the most brainwashed group of all time.

This is not a valid argument, please elaborate on how teenagers are brainwashed, by what mechanism, and what proof you have of this.

i think that we are not that intelligent and in to the world like we can't even to vote in till we are at least 18 so for me think no because teens don't even pay attention to the government or don't watch the news in intreast in the world

Well if we opened the doors for more teens to be involved in politics, then only the people who actually cared about politics would participate. And I would disagree, most teenagers are very opinionated and interested in politics.
