Seeing as how we aren't making much progress with the two parties at large, I think we could give a Third Party a shot. I'd cast my vote in for the Libertarian Party.

There are more than 2 parties. But people very rarely ever vote for or pay attention to the people in those other parties. The response I get from people when I tell them I'm going to/have voted for other parties in the past is "Well, I know that the 3rd party never wins, so I voted for the lesser of 2 evils." What?! If everyone who believed this way would vote how they actually believed then what a turn around we'd have!!!

The question is somewhat silly. There are nearly 50 Political parties in America. Some are new, while others are pretty old. With a variety of platforms, they cater to a broad spectrum of social and political views, and needs. To suggest that we need a "third political party" only serves to underline the greater social and political ignorance of the American population as a whole.

Hell yes! We need a centrist party to take the stage and win back America.

No. A Third political party is not pragmatic and a big chunk of votes would be wasted. The Two party system works.
