Should We Consider "Nigger" a Controversial Word Still?

Add New Argument

I dont see how it could be. Blacks have taught white kids to call each other " nigga's ".. Try looking at Facebook sometime it has been reduced to just a slang word and it means nothing.

Not until Chink and Cracker become unacceptable, and the African American community quits using it like a mantra.

Ok, I am not racist. I only used that word for the sake of this argument, considering I have never said that word in my life. I think that the slur used by most blacks have diminished the actual meaning behind it. I dont understand why people take such offense to this when you hear it in a lot of sentences used by blacks.

It's okay for a nigger to call another nigger "nigger". It's black privilege. If honky calls a nigger "nigger", honky must pay.

As long as a group of people still feels shocked or offended by a powerful label then that label must remain a controversial word. It doesn't matter if the rest of society thinks it's no big deal any more.

Should We Consider "Nigger" a Controversial Word Still?

No, of course not. No words should be controversial. If blacks are allowed to call blacks "nigga" and blacks can say it to whites, why shouldn't whites be able to say it to whites and blacks as well? People always talk about white privilege, but it's really more a case of black and minority privilege.
