Be careful here. You are inviting the wacko liberals to come on and tell you you have no idea what kids should be eating in school. After all, parents are too FUCKING stupid to know what is best for their kids. Just ask Michelle Obama, who is on her crusade to make lunches conform to what SHE thinks is best. I ate junk food and drank soda all through my school years and I am a very healthy, weight proportionate adult. My kids ate what they wanted and they are fine. I am sure Michelle would have a different view.

YES we should but only one or two pieces not like a whole lunch because they don't give us that many desserts but i think that would be AWESOME!!!!!!!!!

yes candy is not healthy but are you really going to take away kid's candy?

Side: YES OH YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

All kids like candy. I can't see taking away their happiness.

Side: YES OH YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Using taxpayer money to provide nutritionally worthless substances that help contribute to an already epidemic level childhood obesity problem is not constructive or intelligent.

Obesity and sugar diabetes are going to be the plague of this country (USA) in the immediate years to come. Based on a study I heard on NPR, pretty soon 50% of volunteers for the military will be disqualified for obesity, so the government is eventually going to put restrictions on out of control diets. I am a big advocate of healthy eating. All of the science from nutrition shows that candy is unhealthy.

Surely there are better ways to reward students.
