Should cyclists be required to have registration tags & have insurance cover.

Cyclists regularly seriously impede the progress of traffic by mischievously riding in the middle of the road when two abreast and cycling in groups that occupy an entire lane.
Cyclists take to the sidewalks where they often collide with pedestrians and speed away from the scene.
These 'two-wheeled outlaws' who have become laws onto themselves, frequently jump traffic lights and ignore safety signs.

This is a case of, ''95%''of cyclists giving the other ''5%'' a bad name.

These road-hogs should be brought into line with the laws and regulations pertaining to road use and treated in the same way as those using motorized transport.

Any kind of vehicle that cannot be insured shouldn't be on the road. I support bike lanes, but when these aren't viable, the sidewalk should be the standard. If a cyclist hits a pedestrian on the sidewalk, it could lead to a pretty bad injury, but both parties will almost certainly survive the experience.

If a cyclist gets hit by a car, they'd be lucky to survive in any capacity.

When in packs cyclists purposefully try to antagonize other road users by blocking complete lanes and failing to tighten up their spread-out formations on hearing the honk of a horn.

One motorist with maybe one or two passengers is no match against a mob of a dozen or more cycling bandits who are out looking for, and causing trouble.
