Should doctors be allowed to get WEALTHY off of your MISERY?

Hello:

They should AT LEAST be able to recoup the cost of medical school.  That should take a couple weeks..

Yes, because no one else had the balls to do the job or is willing to, and they owe their labor to no one, but freely choose to give it. If someone is miserable, they are lucky anyone chooses to help them, and there are people who do. Thank them.

They should AT LEAST be able to recoup the cost of medical school. That should take a couple weeks..

Doubt it.

So, capitalism forces trainee doctors into heavy debt. Capitalism forces patients into heavy debt. Capitalism forces hospitals to charge high prices to appease shareholders. Capitalism forces sick people to not go to the doctor. Seeing a common problem anywhere?

Thank goodness we have socialised medical education and medicine.

Ambition to be a doctor puts doctors in debt.

Capitalism forces patients into heavy debt.

Not really. Children can get free care, the elderly are on Medicare, the poor are on Medicaid, veterans get free care at the VA, and Natives get free care at Native hospitals.

Capitalism forces hospitals to charge high prices to appease shareholders.

Government healthcare costs you a giant terd in taxes whether you want it or even ever need serious care. And even with that there's no guarantee you are seen in time, especially if you aren't considered "high priority". And in the case of America, we have a doctor shortage. Paying them less by the government will insure rationing and poor care per having even less doctors than we have now.

Nope. You just glazed over all of the people who get it paid for already.

Thank goodness we have socialised medical education and medicine.

There's no such thing as Socialized medical education and medicine. There are programs paid for by Capitalism that can't function without it.

Absolutely agree with you. There are lots of sacrifices that doctors make, be it personal or financial. Their lives are always stressed with ill patients and providing service to them 24x7. So if they are earning without obviously any malpractice, there is nothing wrong in that.

Here's something wrong with that.

Being greedy, shallow and motivated by money is not compatible with being caring, altruistic and kind. The latter are characteristics which are desirable in someone responsible for your health. The former are not characteristics which are desirable in someone responsible for your health.

Calculating the true cost of medical school

According to the AAMC, the average cost of attendance for one year at a public medical school (including tuition, fees, and health insurance) was $34,592 for in-state students and $58,668 for out-of-state students in 2016–2017. Tuition and fees at a private school averages well over $50,000 a year regardless of whether you’re an in-state or out-of-state student. Unfortunately, public and private medical schools both increased costs from the previous years.

If libs don't like it, go to medical school, pay off your loans, and volunteer your services to the public for free or extremely cheap.

"It’ll take at least 7 years after college before you can practice medicine in the United States."

"Going to medical school means taking on a lot of medical school loans. The average medical school debt among the class of 2018 was $196,520."

You use the doctors services to relieve the misery you’re suffering, if the fee is a problem don’t pay to see a doctor and suffer on in your misery , but don’t bitch about the cost after willfully paying for it.

Sounds like you’re green with envy that doctors make decent money why’s that?

Doctors, like lawyers, profit off of other's misfortunes. In this country, it's called capitalism and it's legal. People should be able to profit off all legal activities.

Yes.

To qualify as a doctor one must follow a long and expensive road which only the extremely intelligent and dedicated will be able or willing to follow to the journey's end.

Once qualified these elite members of our society find themselves in a position where demand outstrips supply, so they charge accordingly.

Supply and demand almost always dictates the price of any product/service.

Doctor's deserve every penny they earn.

It's disgusting we have people who are jealous of hard working successful Americans, and who want others to give them a free ride.

If people on the Left had a brain they would understand that Doctors would not spend eight years of College, live with a very stressful job affecting their family life, were there not a reward of wealth at the end of all that.

But then again, these Socialists would have to have some intellect.

Hello From:

I'm sorry.. FOX News told you it's free.. I didn't.. If anybody is being deceptive, it's YOU.

My plan doesn't take a whole lot of intellect either.. It just takes math skills..

So, we start with what we already spend as a nation for health care.. It's around $3.5 trillion.. Then we SUBTRACT what we spend for the health INSURANCE industry, because my plan ENDS it. That's about $.5 trillion.. Then we SUBTRACT the amount we're gonna SAVE because we're gonna LOWER drug costs and that's another $.25 trillion savings.. Then we SUBTRACT the savings we get when we ONLY pay our doctors a decent living, and that's another $.25 trillion..

If everybody is covered for everything, there's NOTHING for an insurance company to do, so the ONLY job Medicare has, is writing checks.. That'll take a couple hundred people and'll cost about $5 million.

So, as you can SEE, my plan results in $1 trillion MORE going toward actual HEALTH care, that is NOT going towards it today. With the additional $1 trillion, we'll be able to cover everybody for everything, and buy a couple of aircraft carriers..

That means your health care, while NOT free, won't cost you a PENNY more than you're NOW paying.. You get that, right???

SUPER STUPID if you had 2 brain cells you might be DUMBER than you are !!!!

Who could make any SENSE of the PSYCHO BABBLE you just PUKED UP !!!!!!!

https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/ 2018-07-30/study-medicare-for-all-bill-estimated-at-32-6-trillion

Shut up BOY and crawl back in your hole !!!!!!!!!!

Washington (AP) -- Sen. Bernie Sanders' "Medicare for all" plan would boost government health spending by $32.6 trillion over 10 years, requiring historic tax hikes, says a study released Monday by a university-based libertarian policy center.

That's trillion with a "T."

The latest plan from the Vermont independent would deliver significant savings on administration and drug costs, but increased demand for care would drive up spending, according to the analysis by the Mercatus Center at George Mason University in Virginia. Doubling federal individual and corporate income tax receipts would not cover the full cost, the study said.

Sanders' plan builds on Medicare, the popular insurance program for seniors. All U.S. residents would be covered with no copays and deductibles for medical services. The insurance industry would be relegated to a minor role.

"Enacting something like 'Medicare for all' would be a transformative change in the size of the federal government," said Charles Blahous, the study's author. Blahous was a senior economic adviser to former President George W. Bush and a public trustee of Social Security and Medicare during the Obama administration.

I've got a bridge to sell you!

For you to actually believe all that non sense, then you have not been paying any attention to what politicians have done to every social program they create. These programs are in a constant state of insolvency.

What socialists ALWAYS miss, is that when they put income limits on jobs such as doctors, THESE DOCTORS WILL NO LONGER SPEND EIGHT YEARS IN COLLEGE FOR A STRESSFUL TIME CONSUMING JOB. Why can't you grasp common sense?

This is why there are shortages of doctors in Canada, and why they have long waiting lists to get into to see Doctors.

If it were so affordable and easy to implement your healthcare plan, it would have long ago been done. Remember when Democrats had control of Congress and the White house for the first two years of Obama's Presidency?

Why did they pass the pathetic Obamacare (without one GOP vote) if they could have done what you say.

In Spain a doctor earns around 3-4k a month. It's enough to be comfortable but not what you would call rich. Yet there are still far far more places to study at medical school than applicants. So your theory is wrong. We can see that even when doctors earn a lot less money, there are still enough people wanted to do it.
