Positioning factories in urban areas affects more people, which in turn creates a broader base of motivated advocates for clean factory regulations and practices. Outsourcing production to rural areas reduces the likelihood of accountability movements, while also increasing the pollution through inefficient allocation of human and material resources. The more efficient we can be in resource allocation and the less we externalize environmental and health consequences of production, the better off we will be (in the long run particularly). Big city have crowd population, where social activities and other kind of joyful attractions run almost round the clock. Such kind of situation attract more job seekers prefer to work in any factories or industries situated in or near the big cities. The more the workers, the more the spenders, meaning that, the higher the revenue gain for the big city. Not to forget, the owners of the concerned factories and the industries as well on the advantage side, since they never worry to lost their employees although their salaries are lower than the other factories and industries workers situated far from the big city. Employees of the factories will have to travel to their place of work. If factories are built away from the population concentrations of cities then people will simply relocate to a town/district closer to the factories. This will of course cause the inevitable expansion of housing and supporting commercial developments and will in a relatively short period of time create another city. The establishment of factories and industrial enterprises have largely been the reason for the creation and/or development of cities. Side: for

In my point of view , factories should not be build inside cities because every single factory has different kind of pollution such as chemical material which can pollute the aquifer, air polluting material and even in some particular cases very harmful radiation which can endanger people’s health both in short term and long term or better to say next generation.Secondly, on the one hand some people don’t like to live in a crowded and noisy area as it is apparently inevitable for a factory to keep its surrounding space quiet and calm Side: against

No factories should not be built in cities because our aim should not be to increase pollution whereas building factories in cities will increase pollution. Cities have less no.of trees so it won't absorb pollutants. Secondly building factories on the outskirts will lead to development of that area and unemployed people who cannot travel to cities daily will also get good job opportunities. Side: against

factories is clearly a very broad term. not all of them necessarily produce pollution. what's more, I'd say factories don't tend to produce the kinds of pollution that "Trees would absorb". dilution is the solution to pollution, so yes, spreading out is usually better for the heavy polluting factories. but if you consider that most of the wildlife is away from cities, you're causing an environmental impact to ecology rather than humans.
