Not really. Parents would have nothing to gain from it. Teenage pregnancy, sexually transmitted diseases, broken families, unnecessary conflicts between people, custody issues. There would be little to no value added to the family.

But, if may offer a satirical viewpoint that’s related on topic.

In today’s American culture, as parents we delegate the task of changing our child into an adult over the course of their life to the public-school system. Just a second, let me rephrase that. As parents we’re lazy and we don’t really want to put the effort into ensure our children have income worthy skills and achieve emotional maturity at the same time the human body reaches full sexual maturity, which is age 14. So that at age 14 our child could now function as an adult and go out on his our own and live their life.

No, Instead we’re lazy. So, we invent a school system we delegate our parental responsibility. We’ll worship highly educated pedigree of PhD’s, who throw study after study explaining why the human body just isn’t up to par before 18, but all in sudden at age 18, the planets and stars align and your child transform into an adult. It’s such a magical process and its really convenient. And to make sure that we keep this system in place we’ll create these boogie men. We’ll make up boogie men like pedophiles and sexual predators and demonize as aspect of sex that for some reason, before age 18 you’re just weird and your mind and body just can’t handle it. We’ll do this for you, you lazy bum parents so you that don’t have to educate, raise your kids and get your children to adult status at the same time their bodies are sexually mature, which is age 14.

It’s funny! Its not legal to be an adult before 18 despite nature saying otherwise.

Regardless of my satirical point here and regardless of what our laws say, morality must play role in human sexual conduct. The family is the basic building block. Without it there is no nation, no culture. Family unit begins when a man and woman marry and then the family grows with children.

Marriage is an important institution. Divorce should be shunned and a last resort. Sexual conduct takes place in the context of marriage between man and woman.

If we can follow this morality, we won’t have to worry about the boogie man and creating defense mechanisms dictating that magical moment upon turning 18 years old. We can just be human. Hey, your 14. You are ready to get out in the world and get your life going.

Children of a young age do NOT need encouragement, they'll handle it themselves.
