If people are voluntarily willing to risk their own life with respect to dangerous sports and activities, and within those irresponsible and stupid decisions, if they need rescue, they should have to pay either through the consequences of their actions or pay taxpayers back the money that was required to save them. As Stossel said, "Pay for your own mistakes." Side: yes

Well, the cost of freedom and liberty is stupidity, and people have the right to be stupid, but unfortunately, there is no leeway for laws that address stupidity. If stupidity was legislated, the entire country would be imprisoned. As inefficient as it may be, people will be stupid, yet they should be helped. Side: No
when people do take these risks they should look after their own lives and make sure that they don't put others in danger... also rescuers shouldn't go rescue them if there are big notice boards put up over the place indicating danger signs saying it was their fault they didn't heed to the big fat notices. although in some cases rescuers can pop up in the middle if it was an accident. Only one problem here. I am hearing(and getting quite tired of it actually) of hearing these types of arguments from an apparently cold perspective. It is not the fact that it is a cold point of view that gets to me, more that the people who tend to use this argument only bring it up when it suits them. I am over in England, and a lot of people heavily criticise soccer players about their pay, yet very few(due to jealousy mostly) take the view of that is how much money is floating around in their field(pardon the pun-unintended). The point i am trying to make is yeah u should pay for your silly mistakes, but if u want to have an attitude, have it across the board, otherwise to me it just makes u pathetic. Side: YES
