Smoking in itself is not a very harming activity, depending on what you smoke. Now, I wouldn't recommend smoking cigarettes, tobacco and nicotine and tar and whatnot, 'cause that stuff's addicting and poisoning; I strongly support the smoking of cannabis, which has been shown to have anti-cancer qualities. Doesn't matter just how harmful it may be to smoke certain substances - hell, I've smoked seeds before - no crime without a victim can be considered by anybody sane a true crime, and second-hand smoke is an irrelevant risk considering that it is bullshit. Just to clarify, I think you should be able to sit in your own home and smoke whatever you choose. For obvious reasons, you really shouldn't be able to smoke in public places. Your weed is your choice, but when I started getting a contact high (thank you), but you've imposed your will upon mine. Side: NO!

You don't smoke? Congrats, what do you want, an award? Alright you can not agree with people smoking or doing drugs, however, you have no right to force them (through a ban) to tell them how to live their lives, just as I don't spike your drinks with LSD and say "my way of life is better!" understand? Its called personal liberty, you might want to try it sometime. Side: NO!

Every time I see this question come up its always the same argument. People say yes because it can kill you. Well guess what? Alcohol can kill you. Tanning can kill you. Cars can kill you. There are many objects that can cause harm to you but its your right to choose if you wanna use these things or not. I've never met a smoker that chased me around with a pack of cigerettes trying to force me to smoke them. It's their right to live that lifestyle. And mine not too. But banning someone from doing something because I don't like it is wrong. Side: NO!
