Most definitely! Grades shouldn't be taken too seriously on the part of the teacher, and I'm sure that you could find a correlation between student's grade and the grade that student gives to the teacher, but students should be encouraged to voice their feelings regarding teachers at the end of a term. I had some really good teachers in high school, people about whom I would never have said a bad word, then there were some who were just plain terrible. One wouldn't talk to me, I had to go down and have a word with the principal, another paid absolutely no attention to her class - didn't even know that there was a fire in the classroom; I had to help put it out. We should've been given some type of form to fill out wherein we could voice concerns about and praise for our teachers, to be delivered confidentially to the principal or vice principal. I think that that would help, in some small way.

Yes they should but I did in High School but my teacher pass with A's because she was such a great teacher.

Of course, students should be held accountable by teachers for academic reasons as should teachers be held accountable by students for professional reasons.

There are way to many bad teachers. Through my years of school, I've been taught by teachers who mocked certain kind of people like christians.

I mean, its okay to think its crazy to believe in God and that kinda stuff, but seriously you don't go and mock them for doing it. I think its disrespectful.

I've also been taught by teachers who simply didn't teach us anything. He missed half of the classes, and the other half were used to do absolutely nothing.

No one can know how a teacher teaches, better than his students, so of course they should be the ones who grade is qualification in teaching.

The only problem is, certain teachers at my school would hand out detentions if they got bad levels. Some are nicer than others, and this will come to light, but if they are bad then I think they'd deserve it.

yes, but with the added ability to choose another teacher or another school or choose to be home schooled.

If the student is forced to be with one teacher, teacher grading will not be effective. Teacher grading with the freedom to choose another will be effective both by the teacher grade AND how many students the teacher has per year.

Finding the right teacher is important. Not everyone learns the same way, nor responds to same way to a single teacher. For example, some are autotelic, some are not and need more help.

In the school newspaper they can grade their teachers but those students who give their teacher an "F" better be prepared for a grudge by that teacher.
