Well, I am talking about programs for children. College-aged young adults tend to be eighteen and above which is beyond the range of what we consider to be children. Seventeen and under are considered children. Now I am aware of in Georgia dual enrollment programs that cover the tuition cost for high school students seeking to gain college credit. We can have a conversation about that. What is wrong with tax-payer money going to grants that take care of the costs that allow children to get ahead in college? And mind you, this is a state policy with money going to all students and not just poor students. Side: No.

Well, it is free for the people...the children...receiving the aid. Just like with donated goods...these items can be given at no cost...this does not mean the original owner did not have to pay for them. That's CLEARLY what is meant by "free lunch". And even if we were to change the name to the Lunch Assistance Program or literally anything more suitable to your sensibilities...what would be the rationale for not wanting tax-payer money go to programs to help feed children.
