Should the Armed Forces Recruiting age lower?

The mimimun age limit to join the armed services (excluding ROTC) is usually 17or 18. And you may be deployed usually at age 19. But with society situations changing, the amount of teens who want to enlist is increasing. Should the recruiting age lower?

Note: I am 13 and I want to join the United States Marine Corps. I know what to expect and what is expected to join. I promote this debate. However i dont want to join right now. Just maybe untill im like 15.

13 is entirely too low to join the armed forces of any nation. Although I commend the thought I cannot understand the thought process that went into this decision. We're certantanly not hurting for soldiers to this dregree. Live life a bit first then make a decision that will alter your life, perhaps forever.

No, I think that 17 (with parental consent) is young enough.

There is absolutely no reason for the entrance age to be lower.
