Should the cash monetary system be abolished?

I say no because it would give the government too much control.

Cash will never be abolished. Even if the government stopped the press, people would replace cash with something pretty much the same. Money is a natural result of trade. Cash is as good as any other kind of money.

Money is necessary for efficient trade. .

You might as easily say "yes" because cash gives the government too much control. Bit coin is plaguing governments with a new challenge. Current technology is now capable of producing a unique challenge in which public faith in a currency isn't held by governmental monopoly.

The current monetary system is already manipulated by central banks.

Money in control, or government in control. What's the difference? The government owns your money.

I feel that cash systems having their benefits and their downsides, and I feel their downsides outweigh the benefits, when compared to at least one other system, that system being the bartering system.

Greed would not be as rampant in a bartering system, and social Darwinism (a political idea I actually like) would thrive. Only those who do something useful would be able to survive, and the few bandits who survive off of thievery but would in tune always be on the run from people aware of there existence who won't tolerate thievery. Little communities could be built around those who trust one another, who then would probably recreate currency, since it's something they feel safe under, but this currency would be run by those people, and not by some giant figure-less government.
