It is fundamentally wrong and an injustice that those who committ murder die an essentially peaceful death. The electric chair shoud be used as both an effective killer, punishment and deterrant. It gives families and society improved sense of justice. It kills quickly but should comfort even be a consideration? I think it is the fear the murderer deserves to experience that is necessary. I really want to see electric chair re-instated to it's supreme position in justice. Side: Yes its an effective killer.
Lethal Injection is just as problematic as any other form of Capital Punishment. 1) Most of the condemned have bad veins due to drug use 2) The barbiturate might not be strong enough for larger size people 3) Companies making the drugs are ceasing to sell to the US because of their own personal views. Pro's for Electrocution 1) Electricity causes unconsciousness almost instantaneously. 2) Its cheaper and it doesn't cause ethical issues involving doctors compared to lethal injection 3) It is the most effective form of execution that causes deterrence. Side: Yes its an effective killer.
If one is to be killed, the least we can do is let them decide how to go. One of my last choices would be lethal injection, the thought of being stabbed with a needle and then having poison flow through my veins is far from pleasant. I'd prefer the guillotine - to live a moment of pure disembodiedness - but I'd take the electric chair in a heart beat. Side: Yes its an effective killer.

I didn't think it was rite for Sparky here in Florida before and then they brought it back. The electric chair is stupid it is problematic, it is supposedly unconstitutional, and its not a nice clean up... the smell of burning flesh, the person is boiling hot, and be careful their eye ball might fall out of the socket! Lethal injection is simple only requires one person to administer it and it saves electricity! =P Side: No lethal injection!

I believe they use an automated machine to administer the drugs now. Side: No lethal injection!

I think it should be banned because it is unfair. Of course, penalty like this may get only the person who made very hard crime. If he was judged to this penalty. It means he deserves the penalty worse and more cruel than it. Since it is his guilty. That's why he must atone for his crime with another very cruel and terrible method. Side: No lethal injection!
