Should this kid be expelled?
okay, my friend has a friend who got expelled from school for a prank he pulled on Halloween last year. The boy was having a Halloween dance, in which everyine wore their costumes and danced. The boy was dressed up as The Joker, and he was going to prank someone who jokes around wth him. So he brought a gun to school. Duringg the dance, he pulled it out and threatened him, and everyone else went silent. He started talking about why he was doing what he was doing, and his tormentor was pleading to him and apologizing, but "The Joker" wouldnt listen, and he pulled the trigger, but then everyone realuzed that it was just a fake gun that has "Bang" on it. Everyone was still in shock, but then everyone began laughing and the dance continued, but the boy was expelled for the prank. Should this have happened, or have gotten a different punishment?

I do not think expulsion is the appropriate course of action, but punishment is necessary. Guns, whether fake or not, are not allowed in schools as far as I know. The big problem here though is that he pretended as if it were a real weapon, there are laws against this. As you can see, the person at the school used the gun in a way that would place another person in reasonable fear of physical injury or death. Of course he should not be expelled. Maybe a detention, just because you can't really have every kid walking around with a fake gun. How would you know if a kid had a real one if they did? I mean, expulsion is a big deal and could potentially fuck up a kid pretty bad. And for what? A prank? School administrators need to grow some balls and quit being such reactionary chickenshits.
