Should this man be in jail?
A homeless man was arrested for eating almost 3 dollars worth of food. Im very troubled that people who claim to be about doing unto the least of these cannot take their own advice. How very hypocritical to claim to serve Yeshua and refuse to obey His commands. As always, I have posted a link for proof.

Choices like this are very hard, what I read I get a good idea of the situation at hand here. This man who has fallen on hard times took some cookies. The cops told the church that this man needs help beyond the meals the church's offers for free everyday. It is sad that he would be spending time in jail, but I have to look at this from both sides. At first glance I was like Heck No! This is wrong. But after reading I came to the hard choice that in jail he would be feed with a bed and blanket and a roof over his head. Even though jail is not an ideal place to be, this man can get help for the drinking to. I voted no, because I don't think locking the homeless and Hungary up is a good idea. But this man had been drinking. Not that drinking is against the law, but there are deeper problems than meets they eye on this one. Side: No.

Before clicking the link I was going to go with yes, due to the reasoning that any law is to be upheld if it is still in effect, no matter how insignificant. Then I read the link and am just shocked. What kind of charity is having a person arrested? If they wanted to do the homeless man better, they could have given him a home, or at least a job, or at the very least another free meal, without the guilt of it being stolen. Side: No.

There is more to this story that him being homeless and Hungary. He was drunk and possibly on drugs. By having him in custody he can get the help he needs to gain employment and get back on his feet. He needs help this is the point. And they made a choice to help him in a way that would work best for him. Side: Yes.
