Should this site have an age limit?
A couple of us here have been a bit hard on young people, by responding without checking out their profiles. One person was ten that this happened to. I read about this one on a debate, somebody said leave her alone she is ten. I did the same thing to one that was sixteen here.
How should we handle this? Get createdebate to post ages with names, age limit, etc.

No fetuses and no dead people (however the reincarnated are welcome). I find it hard to believe that anyone 16 or younger is competent at formulating a cogent argument and supplying the evidence to support it. (Hell, we have people lots older who can't do that either). I think its possible to inform someone of any age kindly that their argument is lacking. However, if they are too young, you may have to speak language they understand and say, "Your argument is stinky poo-poo caca." Side: argument is s--t

That's quite belittling to those under 16, but I agree for the most part. Surely, some people under sixteen are competent enough to form mediocre arguments - however, for the more advanced topics, an advanced age is often beneficial. That is no reason to be ageist regarding such debates - if they feel they are capable, let them in. They'll probably just get laughed at anyway. Side: argument is s--t

I'm just saying we should at least check the age of those new to this site. We can be pretty mean to each other here at times. Forgetting there is those here that could be hurt by the words we use. It took us a long time to be come the jerks we are here and we shouldn't rush them into becoming like us. Side: Proceed with caution
