Should violence be reduced in today's web series and films?
In most cases the violence manufactured and shown by the entertainment industry is a reflection of real life. However, I am of the opinion that many impressionable young people and easily led adults are influenced by the nonsense of super-human martial arts abilities as portrayed by the likes of Steven Seagal and other super heroes and go out to emulate the fantastical feats of close-quarters combat. So the upshot is that poor wee Mrs. Mc Dookie receives a few karate chops and groin kicks so the wanna be Bruce Lee can play out his impossible fantasies. Should violence be reduced in today's web series and films? Hello Bogan: Whas up?? We live in a violent society, so why should it be portrayed otherwise? Do you think people jump off cliffs because Wyle Coyote did it all the time? You DO, don't you? Look.. If you're afraid you'll go all Postal because of a commercial you saw, I'd see somebody about that.. excon 1

Besides violence, I also have noticed that the "heroes" of the series or films, they can steal money and keep it, they can kill and evade being punished or at least been "notified" by authorities because the justice taken with their own hands. And I don't consider this mixture of an assumed good guy committing crimes while "doing good" as being a good example for children and youths. Besides violence, I also have noticed that the "heroes" of the series or films, they can steal money and keep it, Hello again, l: Yes.. There's a lotta BAD movies out there glorifying violence, greed, theft and sloth, simply for its own sake. It's ugly. I don't like it, and I don't partake in it. You don't have to either. Nonetheless, even though I DON'T partake, I want the RIGHT to partake if I so choose. Fortunately, I live in a country that glorifies free speech. excon |
