Should we Believe in Books that claim as revealed by God ?

Many books claim they are revealed by God (Bible / Quran etc).  Question is if God used to reveal to mankind then why did he stop doing the same and god (who is all-knowing) must be knowing about an era where people are so advanced and that a revelation at that age will last forever and that age is just 1000s of years away which for god is like a small timeframe of wait, then why should God not do that at such a time (i.e modern time).

Should we Believe in Books that claim as revealed by God ?

Should we read the Communist Manifesto? Nah, I'm good.

Well let's see... the Progressive Left came along and decided that the science of Biology is no longer relevant. They now believe they are the enlightened ones in this man made political correct humanistic culture.

No longer are our biological bodies designed for just a man and woman. Today men are naturally bonding with other men, women with women, boys believing they are girls, etc. etc.

I guess under your logic, we should throw out Biology books and create new PC books that better fit this anything goes culture.

So I will ask your same question.... should we believe in Biology books, or should we throw them out and have these new age LGBTQRSUVWXYZ groups rewrite the science books.

i think its deviated from the point. the discussion is about why god doesnt reveal now if he had a plan for mankind to follow certain ways. In a broader way, to be spiritual do we need any specific book or rituals. the conecpt of god is derived by human mind.religion is created by humansand it varies.

coming to your point about lgbt etc. these are cleaely explained by biology.how hormones play a role etc. biology as like any other science is mere explanation of what is observed. it is not a set of rules thay will be followed. science prpgresses and is striving to explain things in detail. i am not aware if any biology text says there will be only male or females or male will have sex with only females etc. even before texts were written, deep in history of mankind there was homosexuality bisexuality prevailing.

even in the time these religious books were written.

my question is simple. when you cannot reason and verify yourself that these books that claim can be true (keep in momd proving one true mrans denying all others) should we still follow the books. why not follow your reasoning.

Your double standards are all over the place. You say the Bible and religion is created by humans, but you refuse to say the same for science books.

There is nothing in biology books speaking to homosexuality because it is an unnatural abnormal distortion to how our bodies are designed.

Science books are written by humans and can be changed and distorted with the slippery slope of political correctness, as we are seeing today.

These LGBT activists are using their political power to transform everything we as an intelligent people know to be true. These activists are distorting science and the natural order to life, all so they can feel good about the unnatural lifestyles they have chosen.

So tell me, where does it all end? In your political correct world, is Beastiality yet one more natural form of sexuality controlled by our hormones?

How about pedophilia? Is that controlled by our hormones as well. I guess we should not say anything bad about pedophiles and their desires for children because it is supposedly caused by hormones?

If you want to believe the slippery slope of humanism, that is your choice to do so.

DO NOT JUDGE OTHERS WHO BELIEVE IN GOD. From what I am witnessing today, the more we separate Christianity from America, the more our families and our culture are falling apart.

So in your world, are you going to decide which sexual orientations are ok and which are unnatural? Who decides? What do we teach our children in schools when it comes to sexuality?

How about teaching them the natural order to life and leave all the others unnatural sexual orientations behind closed doors, where they belong.

I would agree with you that religion should not be taught in public schools. I would hope you would have the common sense to understand that LGBT issues should not be taught in school as well.

all accounts/claims/evidence/data should be held to the same standard. likewise should we believe in ANY historical accounts..? I mean you weren't there, how do you know there was a Caesar in Rome? or an Alexander in Greece? or that the Egyptians (and their slaves) built the pyramids?

why should we believe any of that??

If God the creator wants his mankind to follow some rules, he has many ways of doing so rather than reveal through generations and when such revelations are quite naturally maligned or deviated from original for sure. When god knows there will be a generation coming soon who will have the ability to keep a revelation in tact for years and there will be people to verify it convincingly then why not god reveal a book now.

This implies that God did not already reveal the rules we are to follow, and that we do not already have sufficient evidence to believe it.

If God does not allow accounts to be passed on through generations, then you are suggesting that He must renew His message personally every new generation? till the end of time. Because any future generation would register the same complaint the moment He stopped.

The nature of how/when He reveals His Word, also suggests that you don't understand what is necessary to test a person's faith. If you must personally witness everything in the universe for all time, what need of faith is there...? So just short of God making you omniscient/omnipresent, what did you have in mind?
