Absolutely yes! I'm still not convinced it can happen but if so, then yes!

So you want to lose your life to see a dinosaur who will probably kill you?

That's not what this argument should be focused on. What about bringing back recently extinct species, such as species of Rhinoceros, or Tasmanian Tigers? In the interests of protecting biodiversity, this could be a great step forward.

Side: yes

Yea, Mainly for science though. Many animals and plants that are extinct may be used to improve medicine or our understanding of evolution if we could bring them back. We probably shouldn't introduce extinct animals into a natural ecosystem though.

I think it is really cool that we can do this...we should proceed, but with caution!

As cautious as we proceeded with AIDS, the athom bombs and radioactivity (among many other things)?

Don't forget money and interests and greed can, and mostly do, drive anything to a bad ending.

I believe there is much to be gained by Bringing back extinct animals, especially in the interests of protecting biodiversity and research. As far as the Jurassic Park angle goes? Utterly ridiculous. Even if we could get enough intact DNA from fossils, What idiot would try it, especially with such ignorance and ill preparation as exhibited in the movie?

They are gone for a reason, let nature take it's course. Unless the reason they are gone is 100% human intervention which is causing major indirect damage to an ecosystem. However reintroducing animals to an ecosystem that has already adapted to their absence will be just as destructive as an invasive species would be. Thats a rare case considering most of the species that have ever lived are now extinct. I say let natural selection take its course, its just the arrogance of humans trying to control nature, nature changes, let it be.

Although it would be nice to bring back some extinct animals, I feel as though it can also be dangerous as they will be extinct again if they try and eat the civilization as we know it

I agree. But I was thinking of another kind of ending...

As greedy as we (humans) are we would keep bringing back animals and more animal and... at a certain point we might have brought back certain dangerous animals/creatures such as dinossaurs. And at some point this playground could accidentaly collapse and we'd be facing more than we could hope to defeat.
