Should we support the production of fossil fuels or alternatives?

Fossils are running out fast.

And Ethanols are just way too pricey

For right now I would say fossil fuels, but maybe in a few years I would say alternatives. Currently, there are not many cars and machines that use alternative energies. Solely because of the word production, I don't think that we should use all of our money for something that is barely used. I would support the expansions of vehicles and machines that use alternative fuels.

Alternatives.

The situation with fossil fuels is only ever going to get worse.

Politically, economically, environmentally etc. etc.

Best to get ahead of the game and come up with long term, healthier alternatives to fossil fuels.

Alternatives. In the long run this would prove to be cheaper (Sun/Wind power) and like most Americans I am motivated by money... (J/k about the money part).

We should shift towards alternative fuels as much as possible. Alage-based fuels seem to have a lot of promise. Corn ethanol is a complete bust.

both!!!! the actuality of every car or homes running on solar or other green tech is not going to happen for many many years. right now the technology is not going to be cheaper than what we have, so people will not buy it. also if we do not use dirty tech the Indians and Chinese are just gonna use what we don't!!!!!! also 90 plus percent of the the natural gas production comes from the USA......were the Saudi Arabia of Nat gas.......that means jobs..........for now were OK

Alternatives - all the way. Especially bio-fuel as it's carbon neutral.

If we continue using fossil fuels we'll just be doing more damage!

It amazes me that anyone would support the continuation of Fossil fuels exploration-exploitation (other than the oil companies) given the tremendous environmental impact the oil spills in the last century have had on us. Anyone who's been on the planet for the last 50 years knows that the weather has changed radically and that may be the natural course of the earth, but deep down inside where all truths seem to lie, I believe we know that we have a huge hand in the changes we see in the enviroment. Why did we quit using kerosene? Because someone found a better way to light the world, someone who wasn't looking to keep going the same direction. Insn't That's what intelligent "being" is all about. Moving forward for the betterment of the whole, despite the greed.

Ill go for alternative instead, many renewable resources are possible to have but no one if pursuing.
