Should weapons be allowed in school

People are always bringing weapons to school because schools allow them...... but is it a good idea?

i believe in some situations that the answer could definitely be yes. In states like Alaska, where bears sometimes roam onto campus have a need for guns to be on campus. They can keep kids safe and if the teacher knows how to use one then could stop any shootings or particularly bad events from occurring. If you believe kids should be allowed to have guns, i do not support that in the slightest, but if registered adults with a conceal and carry licence should be able to i say yes.

School shootings are becoming more and more numerous. Innocent people are being killed at schools. Everyone believes that it's not practical to use the security required to prevent students from bringing guns to school. Everyone also knows that if teachers were armed, the student shooters would be deterred.

If we are unwilling to use TSA style security in schools, there remains only two options. Allow the shootings to continue, or arm teachers and school officials.

Attacks are going to get more popular. Children need a weapon to defend themselves.

aren't the main arguments against weapons directed at misuse and accidents? aren't schools the most likely places such things would happen? this question almost seems a joke to me. i understand that some want weapons for defence or refuse violations to freedom, but the statistic is out there; fewer weapons lower weapon related deaths. eg. firearms. the us in particular have a ridiculously high average relative to some other countries.

The only answer is a resounding NO. Anyone who feels that they should be allowed in school is an urgent case for the funny farm. Some broken down fool suggested that they should be permitted as a defense against polar bear attacks. Does this idiot not know the caliber of the weapon it would take to kill a polar bear. To wound such a powerful animal would simply enrage it and make it significantly more dangerous. So, all the students should carry elephant rifles to school. Man, man oh man, from where do these fools come? I called in all the neighbours from my Avenue to view the eye-watering lunacy of such an empty headed moron. The roars of laughter could be heard across the Irish Sea to west coast of Scotland.

It is a sad day when students feel the need to go armed to school. In the hands of an untrained person who may not be in control of their emotions, a weapon becomes a danger to all concerned

I believe that the only people who should be in a position to carry a weapon if it is necessary in an educational institution would be the security guards and they would need very careful and strict conditions and training upon how they were kept and used.

No, weapons always cause fights (like this one) and sometimes end in death. People who have weapons think that no one messes with them and when people do they use that weapon. I just want to protect people. so please agree with this.
