CreateDebate is a social debate community built around ideas, discussion and democracy.
If this is your first time checking out a debate, here are some quick tips to help get you started:
Arguments with the highest score are displayed first.
Argument replies (both in favor and in opposition) are displayed below the original argument.
To follow along, you may find it helpful to show and hide the replies displayed below each argument.
To vote for an argument, use these icons:
You have the power to cast exactly one vote (either up or down) for each argument.
Once you vote, the icon will become grayed out and the argument's score will change.
Yes, you can change your vote.
Debate scores, side scores and tag scores are automatically calculated by an algorithm that primarily takes argument scores into account.
All scores are updated in real-time.

Everyone wants to say Srom, my question for them is why? He does not make waves, he does not convince anyone, and thankfully he is not an asshole. See if you're voting him because you like him as a person, that's cool too, just say that.
I want to say Lolzors. He gets in your face, usually has an unrelenting opinion, and still manages to stay respectful. I have never agreed with him ever but I can always expect him to keep up his point.

Telling everyone they are wrong is a sign of respect? Man, I am the most respectful person on the site then. And condemning people to hell is a sign of respect, I think you are mistaken.

So, clearly not doing a good job, so no points there.
If they are wrong (or you think they are wrong) it's not a sign of disrespect. Where the respect comes into play is how he doesn't resort to name calling, and the like.
Everyone is a sinner. However, from what I remember, I have never straight forward directed a statement to you that you, in a big emphasized way, are a sinner. If I am wrong, please show me; for I might not be remembering it.
It is a sign of massive disrespect to call me something in a completely indirect way. Why don't you show some respect for once and tell people how you feel?
It's not inherently a disrespectful thing. It can be taken as such, but when you feel you are right, others have to be wrong, and he comes as if he's right, and as if others are wrong. Rarely with an air of cockiness.
Wrong, it absolutely is a sign of disrespect to not listen to what someone tells you in a debate, sorry.
It can be taken as such, but when you feel you are right, others have to be wrong, and he comes as if he's right, and as if others are wrong.
He does not claim that he is right, he claims that the only conclusion that you can draw from the Bible is his. He hasn't done any critical thinking or addressed anyones concerns.
Wrong. If someone says the sky is purple it's not disrespectful to disregard that idiocy. ell in Lolzors' case, you're saying the sky is purple by saying anything contrary to what he claims he's here to teach us.
You don't want to know why the sky is purple to that person? No, you don't have time to show enough respect to hear what the purple sky person has to say. You just dismiss it and call them an idiot. Then they show you a purple piece of paper and tell you that the sky looks that color. But you don't care. Then the person dies and it turns out they have a brain injury and you didn't show enough respect to find out something was wrong and get them to a hospital.
I don't. Because I can clearly look up with my eyes, that have not failed me yet, and see that it's not purple, and for them to try to convince me that it's purple is a waste of my time.
He does not call anyone an idiot without being prompted.
Well, I presented a story about a person dying while they tried to explain to you that the sky was purple, and you totally ignored it. I was just wondering if the total lack of respect you display towards me is conscious to you or not.
I disregarded it because it had no basis while we're arguing online like this. If that person were talking to his doctor, his doctor would have to help. If here talking to some random stranger that stranger would have brushed him off, or maybe even disrespected him.
It is disrespectful people like you that would have gotten him killed because he didn't have time to go to his doctor because no one would help him when he told them the sky is purple.
It may lack respect but it's not disrespectful. To disrespect is to actively take an action of showing a lack of respect, to lack respect is simply that. Most people simply lack respect for all of nature, yet they don't disrespect it by littering.
Lolzors and Chuzlife definitely don't deserve this. After scrolling around a bit on the all time leaderboard, I'd probably give it to Axmeister or Srom. Although, for the former, I don't see him on nearly as much then when I first joined, and for the latter, I don't see him debating religion NEARLY as much, so... Srom, I guess.
I nominate Srom because he's respectful, knows when to back down, and he's overall just a really good person, even if he can be a little bit oblivious ;)
~
I also nominate lolzors because even though he can be annoying, everything that Quocalimar is true.
