So, why DO people do drugs?
I've smoked pot for over 50 years.. I do NOT do it to "escape" reality. I don't know anybody who does. I do it because it feels good.

Insofar that marijuana has mind-altering compounds it must be considered that its use is a form of escapism. Just as tobacco and alcohol are used by their addicts to escape the realities of, boredom, stress or even physical pain so do the junkies who use pot want to go into different, and probably happier, state of mind. Drug users are most certainly dependent on their habit and they would all find it a most uncomfortable experience trying to come out of denial and break with their addiction. Side: To "escape"
Explain, drug warrior, I'm unfamiliar with the term. If you wish to, or must do drugs that's fine by me, live and let live, that's my motto. But you druggies don't seen to have the same open mindedness. I guess you types consider non-druggies to be R-A-Y-C-I-S-T-S. Having high-tea with little finger sandwiches and cakes in the Negresco Hotel in Nice is R-A-Y-C-I-ST. Being comfortably off is being a WHITE SUPREMACIST. MAN, MAN OH MAN. Side: To "escape"

Maybe it can vary from person to person but essentially the high feeling you get from smoking marijuana calms you and relaxes you, maybe some smoke to deal with life problems, to escape, either way it all comes down to altering their state of mind, and to feel pleasure from the drug whether it’s escapism or being high.
