You'll find one significant difference.

Most socialists are honest people.

Most capitalists are liars.

That should be enough to conclude which one is probably better for you.

Literally any implementation of socialism (if we're talking about original conceptions of it under Marxist political theory) has failed miserably. Russia? Venezuela? Cuba? China? Shall I go on? Have any of them had great experience with communistic governance and overall rejection of capitalism?

The reason socialism is both conceptually and in reality impossible is because it ultimately relies of the goodness and morality of its people and its governors. If we were to live in a utopia where everyone was good, this might be a great form of government, but due to human nature totalitarianism governments are sure to form, violate basic human rights, and oppress the working class way more than capitalism.

Best real world evidence? Look at all the successful countries in any continent (Europe, USA, Asia) Which have the lowest State Fragility Index(are more stable)? Answer: All the capitalistic states. Which states have the highest and violate more human rights systematically? Answer: Those with communistic/Marxist theories implemented into government policy.

Capitalism and Democracy go hand in hand and fuel each other, and both of these things provide for the greatest quality of life and protection of human rights than any other known form of government.

Rant over.

Socialism isn't a "form of government", it's an economic system. Under the rig …. um … best form of government FOR that economic system, a government that uses free, but regulated capitalism and a fair tax system, it can work VERY well. We HAD that a few years back. Regulations were killed, unfair tax policies put in place (purchased BY the capitalists), and slowly, government control moved to those who could "afford it"! Control taken FROM the people!

Totalitarian government is even MORE apt to form under those conditions. See how quickly Russia went from a democratic leaning government to an oligarchy when those who took advantage of uncontrolled "gangsterism" (similar to uncontrolled capitalism), and the money it generated, to BUY control of that government … and HOLD it! Unregulated capitalism IS gangsterism! Power IS money, and if it all goes to the capitalists/gangsters NO FORM OF GOVERNMENT can work … for the people!

Get control of the capitalist gangsters, the government, fair tax codes, and social Democracy CAN work! When it does, the world will see, and follow … utopia.

Russia, Venezuela, Cuba, China … ALL authoritarian governments. An economic system FOR the people cannot be controlled by "a few", whether communists OR capitalists! We need to KEEP government OF, BY and FOR the people!

Rant over.

Alfie, capitalism is a system literally dependent upon exploitation in order to function economically. People use other people in order to acquire power, wealth and status for themselves.

Literally any implementation of socialism (if we're talking about original conceptions of it under Marxist political theory)

Very few have actually adhered to Marx strictly. Many of them fundamentally contradict Marx.

Russia?

The best example historically. The USSR was the most powerful and successful country in the world until capitalists and bureaucrats destroyed it from within. Lenin was a true Marxist although he differed from Marx in some ways. Stalin is where the USSR started to drift away from the goal of implementing communism and became more of an authoritarian version of social democracy.

Venezuela?

A mostly private economy which is failing due to sanctions put on it by the US.

Cuba?

Private economy, Sanctions.

China?

Even more capitalist than the US nowadays. In the time of Mao the socialism was short lived. Most of the problems were administrative in nature and also due to famines and food shortages. The amount of people killed "by communism" is grossly exaggerated.

Have any of them had great experience with communistic governance and overall rejection of capitalism?

Many communist revolutions happen in poor countries where the working class is truly suffering. Socialism often improves their conditions but capitalist propaganda makes them look like failures by comparing them to first world countries and going "see, socialism is horrible!". Like I said the USSR is the best example of socialism succeeding. The USSR was literally the most scientifically and socially advanced nation on the planet in it's prime.

The reason socialism is both conceptually and in reality impossible is because it ultimately relies of the goodness and morality of its people and its governors.

So do you admit that capitalism is fundamentally evil, given that it is a viable system in a world where everyone is supposedly evil?

If we were to live in a utopia

The use of the word "utopia" in this context automatically disqualifies you as someone who knows what they're talking about.

where everyone was good

Good and evil are irrelevant. The real question is what produces the best outcome? Even a psychopath can understand that.

due to human nature

There is no such thing. Just look at how different we are despite us both being human, you believe that everyone is evil therefore we need social constructs to survive and I believe in rationality and methodology.

Capitalism and Democracy go hand in hand and fuel each other, and both of these things provide for the greatest quality of life and protection of human rights than any other known form of government.

You think exactly what they want you to think. Good dog.

Capitalism is simply one step above feudalism. When you understand it's true historical place in human development, you'll understand our journey is far from over. Your view of Marxism is shaped by a bunch of rich and powerful people who are lying to you because they want to keep their wealth and power.

No, you should not go on. You should read what Marxist political theory is before you attempt to criticise it, and you most certainly should learn the difference between China's state capitalism and Marxist theories of class oppression. You should also learn that over two thirds of the Venezuelan economy is in the private sector, and the only reason its economy collapsed in the first place is because various capitalist countries (including the United States) collaborated to crash the price of oil. Back in the 1970s Venezuela was booming. Capitalists didn't like it. Even though Venezuela has never been outright socialist, it was investing enough in social programs to scare the powers that be.

Brit Troll you do not know who Karl Marx is ?

Karl Marx, in full Karl Heinrich Marx, (born May 5, 1818, Trier, Rhine province, Prussia [Germany]—died March 14, 1883, London, England), revolutionary, sociologist, historian, and economist. He published (with Friedrich Engels) Manifest der Kommunistischen Partei (1848), commonly known as The Communist Manifesto, the most celebrated pamphlet in the history of the socialist movement. He also was the author of the movement’s most important book, Das Kapital. These writings and others by Marx and Engels form the basis of the body of thought and belief known as Marxism.

Karl Marx was a Communist and that is not tooooooo hard to understand except for the Brain Dead !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
