Even if I was a socialist I would find it hard to answer this strange comment. I have guns, I love guns, I WAS a hell of a shot, but, I haven't done much lately. It's kinda like riding a bicycle ... to an extent. As a "capitalistic, social liberal", I DO bitch about (and do what I can), the proliferation of idiots who more conservative circles seem to adore. Kind of "the more, the merrier" type of outlaw ... (oops, I meant "outlook" ;-). The old NRA, of which I was a proud member for years, centered on gun safety. Today, just the opposite. They've been taken over by radicals ... conservatively speaking, ... so I keep bitchin' and try my best to "do something about it" which allows me to keep bitchin' .... as suggested in this pointless post. ;-) 2

oday, just the opposite. They've been taken over by radicals ... conservatively speaking Guns are similar to tobacco in that they are both industries which are killing a lot of people, but the capitalist mentality which has been bred into society competes with that fact because both industries also generate an awful lot of money. It is the success, dishonesty and perserverance of these types of industries which are the wake-up call for anybody interested in the actual realities of capitalism. You can also include fossil fuels on that list in light of the data which has been gathered over the last century about their damage to the climate. 2

The majority of NRA members support universal background checks, but the NRA is still against it - why do you think that is? 1
