Star Wars character ideologies

Darth Sidious: Far right fascist. Lucas himself once said in an interview that the empire is primarily based on Nazi Germany. Sidious is a social darwinist and believes in a strict hierarchical pyramid scheme.
Anakin Skywalker: Republican. He devoutly believed in the republic and was more right-leaning than most Jedi. As a conservative, it wasn't much of a leap for him to support fascist Palpatine.
Padme: Progressive/social democrat. It was briefly hinted in episode 2 that Padme is more liberal than Anakin. When Anakin expressed his right wing authoritarianism, Padme said "that sounds an awful lot like a dictatorship to me". When she was queen of naboo, she prioritized the people over the aristocracy and defended the working class and social justice as a senator.
Luke Skywalker/Leia: both classical liberals. Lucas once said in an interview that the rebel alliance was inspired by the american revolution.
Yoda: RBE. He was extremely wise so this goes without saying.
Mace Windu: Centrist. Mace Windu was an extremely balanced individual in almost every way.
Count Dooku: Federalist. He was an aristocratic douche bag who viewed everyone and everything as either an asset or a liability.

Palpatine was Stalinist to a T. You can keep pretending he was Fascist because of the name Empire. The Federation was aligned with the Sith via Vader, it was Vader who had more capitalism in his outlook than Palpatine. Anakin was a pureblood anarchist, as he became and stayed as Vader he struggled to understand what authority was for and how to use it in a Just manner.

Stalin was a fascist who hijacked the USSR you utter neanderthal. If you believe he was a true Marxist that proves you have never analysed Marxist theory and only repeat what you have heard about it.

The Federation was aligned with the Sith via Vader, it was Vader who had more capitalism in his outlook than Palpatine.

Hence Anakin is a republican capitalist.

Anakin was a pureblood anarchist

lol. Anakin said he was a rather authoritarian republican in his own words. He claims "I don't think the system works" but then goes on to describe a republic in layman terms. (he is clearly not politically enlightened)

Anakin and Padme democrat vs republican

Everything you just said there, I agree to. I am not sure where we disagree. All anarchists are deluded and don't actually want anarchy, for starters. This is why all anarchists end up deep down striving for something that is not anarchy in their utopia.

Anakin was an anarchist who didn't realise he was a capitalist Republican.

Luke is left wing prog whereas Leia is moderate/centrist.

Luke is left wing prog whereas Leia is moderate/centrist.

A classical liberal is more or less a moderate centrist in todays terms.

Nope they are even more right-wing than the average modern day Libertarian.

Socially, they are anarchist.

She was absolutely NOT a progressive or social democrat, and how we know is in the clause "When she was queen of naboo..."

There is no political philosophy further right than monarchism.

Actually Naboo's political system was a democratic republic and she was queen in name only. If you pay attention there are a couple references to her being elected queen in the movies.

I admire the thought here, and hope that we, the CD community, can devote more threads to analyzing literature & film at a deeper, potentially non-traditional, level. It seems that would be a much more constructive use of time, build up skills, and generally be more enriching than the typical state of affairs.
