What is your favorite excerpt from "The Art of War"? If you haven't read it, it is a good read.

Wow, this is my ALL TIME absolute favorite read! I always refresh myself with the text every six months. My favorite excerpt is the nine types of ground. See page 130 in the link I provided (a PDF scan of the original book). What is most important to note is that the types of ground tell you what you should do. For instance, if an enemy is trapped on death ground, they will have no choice but to battle to the death. That will inflict great losses. If you think about the types of ground in relation to business and business negotiations, you will have the upper hand!

You're pretty into it! My favorite is "The supreme art of war is to subdue the enemy without fighting" And "All War is deception".

Those are great! Really this book is about the art of common sense. If you can break a situation down into the basic elements, common sense will often lead you to a great solution.

"All warfare is based on deception''

This is my favorite because it is so very true.

It is unbelievable that he came up with all of this so long ago, and it is still relevant today.

I encourage everyone to read ''The Art of War''
