Running isn't the only thing Sonic can do. He has attacks of his own, and lots of them. He can curl into a ball, spindash from a standing position, and Boost, to name a few. Also, like Mario, he can jump on enemies to kill them. I think that Sonic would be pretty darn hard to kill. Side: Sonic

Oh is that so well stupid thats not the only thing mario can do either he has power ups helllooo!!! he can turn invincible for 20 seconds can super sonic do that no hes a stupid hedge thats to dang cocky all the time and you havent replied my arguments about why your reasons suck what are you scared Whoos The daddy Im the Daddy!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And plus you havent even played new super mario bros wii yet have you jumping abd using power ups is not the only thing mario can do, you may think sonics has more acrobatic skills then Mario well your wrong in the game new super mario bros if mario jumps three times as fast as he can he can do a really high jump and sonic he can just jump and homing attacks so shut your mouth. Sonic has taken on Knuckles who can easily punch bricks with one punch. Not to mention Knuckles can also punch down nearly every tree in the forest in mere seconds! Knuckles is also faster than Mario, so if Sonic can take him on then he can definately take on Mario. Side: Sonic

Sonic can actually fight without power-ups, Mario can't. If I'm in a fight with Bruce Lee and I have jet packs, a flamethrower and brass knuckles but Bruce Lee can only fight with his martial art skills I would kill him! My point being: power-ups aren't legit! And if Mario gets all of his stuff, then Sonic can bring in his all his shields, Chaos and Super Emeralds, Excalibur, and all the Wisps (which depending on what color it is can turn Sonic into a drill, a laser, a hovercraft, a rocket, a black hole, a fire ball, a berserker chomper etc).
