I'm against the statement. There is no real need for a student to be using a cell phone, iPod, or other electronic device in school. The teacher can never be too sure if that student is cheating. And if he isn't, the device could be disruptive in class. And that's just in the case of electronic devices. :p Side: Against

Of course they should be allowed, but first I want to say this: What do you mean by 'for' and 'against'? That you are for the sentence or for the regulations? I choose against the sentence. If a student comes to school and puts a gun in his locker and his superiors find out, oughtn't it be confiscated? How about illegal drugs? It does not matter if you are for or against the legalization of drugs - as long as they are illegal they ought to be able to be confiscated. What if a student is paying any attention to his work, rather playing with a hand-held video came or his phone? He is at school to learn, not to have a social life or spend the day playing games.
