Technology is Making us Lazy

There are lazy people and constructive people. As technology evolves there is less of a requirement to exert ourselves physically. This requirement becomes less and less as innovation escalates so there is certainly a relationship there.

This could potentially be a problem. Technology advances exponentially. If the relationship we have to technology also advances exponentially we could see ourselves looking more like the “greys” we see in media. Weak little bodies grown accustomed to dependence on technology and a zero gravity atmosphere; large heads to accommodate the growth of the only organs we use ;)

yes because people use to much of it and they just lay on the couch and eat chips or unhealthy food which will then turn people lazy because they wont want to get up and they think that they can then do whatever you want. Which well now make them lazy.

yes because you don't have to leave your house to pay bills, rent movies and do everyday needs. You don't have to earn your money by leaving your house, many people work from home. Right now not many people have the motivation to do things for themselves and other people we can shop off of our phones and computers. If you don't know something you can Google it and it instantly shows up. We have new inventions that make our life easier so we don't have to do much, we even have technology that washes our floors. So yes technology is making us lazy.

But that's my point we are doing that to ourselves. We are the opting for such options, no one is forcing them on us. so its not technology which is at fault but our own minds and habits which leads to such lazy and unproductive life.

Side: no

I think it works the opposite, really.

Most technology exists simply to make more complicated tasks easier; said technology is inspired by the desire to accomplish the same task with less effort.

Technology doesn't make us lazy- We make technology so we CAN be lazy.

I will say no, but with some hesitation.

I do think the growth of technology has allowed an inflation in our sloth, but I do not consider it the cause.

Technology contains no will, other than that of its creators. And in our society, the creators will can be affected by the consumer.

It is a matter of responsibility, both personal and collective, not to become lazy in the new forms.

We should also be sure to clarify that the natural instinct not to revert back to more inefficient means is not laziness. If we did not constantly push forward in this manner, we would not be where we are.

That said, technology is the conduit through which our laziness is increased. However it is our own collective desires to be distracted, and to gather resources, that are at fault.

Technology plays a role in making us lazy but we ourselves are the main cause of our laziness. We invent technology due to which we become lazy.

Invention indicates that we aren't lazy. The innovation involved with the inventing requires not being lazy.

But what after the invention? We again tend to become lazy. Plus only some people take efforts to bring about invention. What about the others? They just keep being lazy and keep on using the invented stuff.

technology is not making us lazy, we are making ourselves lazy. technology is created to make our life easier and less complicated but we overuse technology and gadgets and create shortcuts for ourselves which leads to our laziness and procrastination. rather than blaming technology for our mistakes its better we improve ourselves. mobiles were created to connect people all over globe not for us to glue to it all day chatting and playing games ,Facebook was created so as to connect virtually not for us to laugh at memes all and tag one another, we are the one who bring these trends and follow them blindly then how can we blame technology when we misusing products and not taking care for ourselves.

The treadmill I run upon doesn't make me lazy.

And so is the case with all those machines that are intended to help you.

Side: no

I find it rather funny that people are so lazy that they want to blame something, instead of using things that "make" them lazy to make a difference, to stop being lazy..
