Tablets are faster, easier to use, lighter to carry, and one tablet can carry multiple textbooks. Also, the info can be updated. Not only that, but tablets are better for the environment - yes, this does seem like the argument of any middle-schooler who doesn't want to do his/her homework, but 30 million trees are used to make books every year! Tablets are better then textbooks because textbooks are heavy and expensive, they are not the best tool for students to use. Tablets are small electronic devices that are better for students than textbooks. Tablets can keep all your textbooks in one place. You can highlight all you want and it doesn’t ruin the tablet. Also tablets are better because they don’t use a lot of paper and waste money printing. Tablets should replace textbooks in schools because their small and light weight, they can store many textbook, and their better for the environment. Side: Tablets should replace books

tablets are going to be better because some of the textbooks are too old and crappy! plus tablets are faster! when you need to find a word you can just go on the internet and find the word right way, rather then looking through a dictionary which is just wasting your time! Tablets are better because tablets contain many technological features that cannot be found in print textbooks. Tablets will be able to highlight and edit text and write notes without ruining a textbook for whoever is going to use it the next year. Tablets have a search function where you can look up a word you don't know. Side: Tablets should replace books

Tablets are better than books as tablets are hardly of any weight and is very efficient to be carried easily. In the upcoming scenario it has been seen that there is a lot of competition and lots of book are to be carried on books and it has been surveyed by the doctors that children backbone nowadays are carrying a lot of burden causing damage to the backbone. Tablets contain all books also at a cheaper rate than the paperback books. Information can be easily accessed over a tablet at any moment and anywhere. Techonology has also advanced to so far that there are dfferent modes such as dark modes in e book by which we can protect our eyes and no harm will be caused to them. So I would always prefer technological books over our print books. Side: Tablets should replace books

Textbooks are best because tablets have too many distractions for classroom use. Students may pay attention to apps, email, games, and websites instead of their teachers. 87% of K-12 teachers believe that "today’s digital technologies are creating an easily distracted generation with short attention spans." Four-fifths of students aged 8 - 18 multitask while using digital media. Side: Textbooks are best

Textbooks are best because tablets may be too difficult for less-technologically-savvy students to operate. When Daytona State College conducted an electronic textbook focus group, the most common reason given for withdrawing from the group was "I did not feel that I had the technical ability to read or reference my textbook from a computer." Naturally, tablets are used in school work at schools but everyone know that's not all that happens on tablets. Sometimes tablets are used as distractions for children. NBC news says,” Researchers say that most students, even when on their best behavior, can't concentrate on homework for more than two minutes without distracting themselves by using social media or playing a game. ” With textbooks their isn’t a problem with kids and them being distracted by games on a computer. Buckminster Fuller once said .“Humanity is acquiring all the right technology for all the wrong reasons” and he was right. Side: Textbooks are best

Textbooks are best because many textbooks are not available in digital format or on the specific tablet used by a school. As of 2012, only 30% of textbook titles are available electronically. There are many different companies that manufacture tablets, and most contract with one specific e-book seller. This means that some textbooks may not be sold across all tablets.
