Iwould have to say simply, that we all obtain the right to wear whatever we please as long as it fits under an appropriate standard. Cloths also reveal different personalitys, which is apart of what it is to be human. So taking away the right to wear what we please is like taking away part of our revealed character.

No school uniforms should not be abolished because school uniforms create an uniformity i.e. equality among the students. According to "rule of law" everyone should be treated equally before the law and the system of uniform is the best way to show that. Every student whether he/ she is rich or poor do has the same uniform. The poor students doesn't feel any type of inferiority complex due to their dresses, which is a nice thing.

Depending on context, school uniforms brings free choice and diversity instead of conformity and uniformity.

It is a means for the government or authority to control people and their choices, and using clothes is a major statement.

I had gone to a private middle school, and now attend a public highschool. If I could, I would prefer the highschool to have uniforms, possibly even a dress code. I admit that waking up every morning was much less hassle knowing what I was going to wear, compared to scavenging for apparell, being unsure, and sometimes switching outfits. It's not as if your uniforms are a death sentence either. You can jazz it up, I know my school allowed necklaces and bracelts, your hair, your shoes, socks, rings, any type of accesory is available. Overall, it is much, much easier.

A school uniform takes the guesswork out of what a student has to wear each day to school.
