My favorite games are tied. The SimCity series has provided me with constant fun for days and days ever since I played the original SimCity when I was a little kid. Another less popular game in the Sim series is the great SimCopter, which had terrible graphics compared to those of today, yet was an incredibly complex game for the time. I have hoped for years that Maxis, and now EA Games, would make a sequel to SimCopter. After all these years, I still hold out hope, but I know that if they did make another game like that, it would be pretty different and there is little chance that they will make another. That may have been my favorite game ever, it's hard to tell. Even though those two games could be called my two favorites, there are still many more not-so-popular Sim games that I have loved and still pick up and pop into the computer every once in a while, including SimTower (Great game), SimSafari, (I never really understood it), and SimIsle (If I was older, I could have loved that game). Civilization III. Simply put it stole literally months from my life. It is the most engrossing, deceptively simple game I've ever played. No other game has the "One more Turn" syndrome that pulls you in and immerses you quite that way. Civ IV has too much flash and not enough new substance. True Civ III had its faults (IE Spearmen beating Tanks) but it managed to balance decent graphics with a simple interface. Very few games can hold my attention the way Civ III did. Action games lose their excitement, RTS become formulated quickly, RPGs become hack and slash or tedious turn-based battles. Only Civ III is consistently great. That being said all things Civ are great. Civ IV made great strides in some areas. Civ Revolution had additions I would love to see in a more typical Civ game. Essentially, though Civ III is king the entire franchise is golden. Side: Civilization

I think that the Civilization series really never progressed in the new additions to the series that have come over the years. It is nice to see that the game never strayed from the roots, but one also hopes that a game can change a little more than just the graphics and videos (which are nice). The original game was pretty cool, but the thing that ruined the first game for me was the built-in cheat menu, which made it just too easy and tempting to cheat in the game. It's no fun to be thousands of years more advanced than your enemies and collapsing the country because it's so expensive to run all of that high technology. Side: Civilization

I played: Black Ops,Mw2,COD 4, W@W, Batman Arkam Asylum,Uncharted 1&2;, God of War 1,2,and 3, Rachet and Clank Future a crack in time,Resistance 2, Section 8 Prejudice,Transfromers War for Cybertron, Dungeon Hunter Alliance, Star Wars the Force Unleashed, Star Wars the Force Unleashed 2, The Sly Collection,Zen Pinball,Dead Nation, Street Figher 4, Super Street Fighter 4, Assasin's Creed, and many more I will play Side: ps3 game

World of Warcraft, Halo, and Mass Effect. They are the only recent games that totally changed the industry and set the standards of how good a game is supposed to be in their respective genres. If an MMORPG doesn't have some of the ingenious innovations of Warcraft, it's bound to fail. If an FPS doesn't have some of the ingenious innovations of Halo, it's bound to fail. If an ARPG doesn't have some of the ingenious innovations of Mass Effect, it's also bound to fail. That's all there is to it. Side: WoW and Halo and Mass E
