I cant prove anything. But by the same token, you can not make a factual statement that there is NO GOD. You would have to possess all the knowledge in the universe to do that. Do you possess all the knowledge necessary to do that?
This is odd, what point are you disputing with this rant, it is only reasonable to assume I don't have all the knowledge in the universe, nobody does. I stated that there is no need to invoke a creator.
The claim is theistic even if your an athiest making it. Atheism is a worldview a religion.
I didn't make a claim, but if you'd like I'll state that I don't believe in God, but that does not require explanation, to invoke God, requires explanation.
Atheism is not a religion, it has no united view outside of God's existence or lack thereof, no doctrine or dogma, it is the outright statement that you believe there is no God, two Atheists may disbelieve for widely different reasons, and the only thing connecting them is the aforementioned.
At least you admit you dont know for sure. But you cant fault me for believing my faith...everyone lives by faith in the things they see and know. Even if they only have faith in themselves...
I think you maybe misinterpreting my dispute as an attack on your faith, I simply wish for an explanation to extraordinary claims. Living by faith in yourself is living with faith in something provable, observable, quantifiable, it is not the same as believing in God.
An all knowing God can do anything...certainly things that we cant logical understand. So the god you describe could do this. If he could control the outcome....he could step back and allow people to have free will. If he is God he could do anything, anything is possible.
This is another non-answer, God can do anything, but as he is described is completely contradictory in every way, it seems strange to create logic just to live outside of it, we can only answer that which we see, to just say he can do anything is ridiculous, it is to live in ignorance of the actual workings of the universe.
If God is perfect in every way, he could not by definition create something flawed, but that is not how the Bible teaches it, he created man, knowing he would be flawed, therefore the flaw is actually perfection and not a flaw. So sin is not bad, and free will does not exist.
I do not believe it is a non answer to say that we do not have complete understanding. Does that mean we cant search for the truth?
It is a non-answer to invoke God, without any evidence of his existence, not one bit. The search for the truth is hindered by faith, it blinds people to actual reason.
What is your excuse for not knowing anything then?
Why do I need an excuse? Using God as an answer is far more dangerous than admitting you don't know.
What do you tell your kids when you cant answer their questions?
I certainly don't tell them that a great almighty contradiction that lives in the sky, invades your thoughts, answers prayers for idiots that want a parking space but ignores the horrible suffering of millions is the answer. God as taught by the Bible is a horrible entity far more likely to be evil if he exists, and absolutely not worthy of a second of my time, and I don't wish for my children to live in fear of him.
Do scientists know all there is to know about everything?
No, obviously, this is a silly question.
Do you think they ever with a I don't know? Why would this be acceptable for them and you make fun of me for doing it?
I don't fully understand what you're asking here, but I assume you are comparing the lack of knowledge of men that have no problem admitting it with the assertion that magic is what controls everything. Also I did not make fun of you, this is a debate, it is our place to question each others claims.
