The Paris Commune Vrs The politburo
What are your thoughts on the differences between the Paris commune and the politburos?

The Paris Commune did not have any time at all to develop before it was crushed. It seemed as more of a political statement by the Proletariat. A Politburo is a legislative Assembly comprised of the proletariat that makes decisions. However, in reality, some Politburos, such as the one in the PRC, are run by rich old capitalists. 1

The Paris commune was pointed to as an example of the DoP by Engels. I highly doubt the politburo would be, the politburo was supposed to be the start of a revolution but if it stays afterwords, it is doubtful that it will allow for a true DoP, especially if there are outside threats to the gains of the revolution. |
