I have never heard any liberals make this claim. Contradictorily, I have heard countless Conservatives denying climate science. Conservatives have simply developed a tit-for-tat attitude about politics, because it is much easier to attack your opponent with a lie than it is to address genuine criticism which has been made about your own beliefs.
Then I doubt very seriously that you read any form of a news article. Vox makes this claim, as well as multiple leftist YouTube channels. You most likely don't research this topic if you haven't seen that statistic at least once.

I never claimed that rape victims create statistics. According to a Southern Poverty Law Center report published in February 2018, over 100 people have been killed and injured in 13 attacks by alt-right influenced perpetrators since 2014. Political scientists and leaders have argued it should be classified as a terrorist or extremist movement.
Some attacks in that report do not exactly fit the bill for alt-right crimes. Elliot Rodger's "Day of Retribution", for example was not an alt-right attack. Rodger shot several people and hit others with his car, and was only targeting women and their boyfriends.
As for the claim itself, namely "the alt-right is killing people", the alt-right isn't a group of people at all. You said yourself that it's ill-defined, and that it consists of multiple different and possibly conflicting ideas.
