because high school was before real life hit us, but my best years are still to come, ive hated my life up until after high school, i think my 20s-30s will be the best years of my life

So far, I've enjoyed life outside of high school personally. Though, for a lot of people, it's the high point because they're not realistic about what responsibilities are awaiting them after high school.

Highschool is one of the worst years in life. You're expected to act like an adult without gaining any of the benefits of being an adult. You are always criticized for everything you do by all adults, and are expected to hold up a shit-load of responsibilities- under their rules.

Old people commonly say that the years spent in highschool are the best years in life but the only reason they say that is because they are too old to remember what it was like. All they can remember was the part where they didn't have to worry about bills.

Everything you do in those years is controlled. You have to dress by their standards, eat what they cook, and get shoved off as a teen that doesn't know what they are talking about. You basically have no freedom.

And all this shit is happening while your body is fucking you up, inside and out, making you an awkward lump of hormones and acne.

The 20's and 30's are the best years in life; when you receive your freedom, and still be young enough to enjoy it.

College, definitely.

It's the only time I've ever felt normal.

And all the drugs I got to play with :3

Anyone who says school was the best years of their lives have one of these three reasons:

1) They're lying and jumping on the bandwagon.

2) They have the shittest life ever.

3) They were trained as a Jedi.

The best year of my life (so far) was the first half of being 16 years old: drugs, sex and alcohol; all vital to any happy teenaged life... Debateably :P

Your 20's and 30's, hands down. Ofttimes you are no longer living with your parents and living your life according to your own schedule. You have many more responsibilities than when you were in high school/a teenager, but with that responsibility comes that much more freedom. Also, at these ages you are generally still void of any major health problems.
