Argument replies (both in favor and in opposition) are displayed below the original argument.
To follow along, you may find it helpful to show and hide the replies displayed below each argument.
To vote for an argument, use these icons:
You have the power to cast exactly one vote (either up or down) for each argument.
Once you vote, the icon will become grayed out and the argument's score will change.
Yes, you can change your vote.
Debate scores, side scores and tag scores are automatically calculated by an algorithm that primarily takes argument scores into account.
All scores are updated in real-time.

The cries of losers
Atheist use words like: logical fallacy, critical thinking, pseudo-problem of logic, a matter of proper authorities, logical coherency, uses incorrect authorities, debating has rules, equivocation, logical errors, anecdotal, Irreducible Complexity, converse error, and sophistry.
These are taken from religious debates here on CreateDebate.
There is no formal proof that God does not exist. So when atheists talk as though they have science on their side, I laugh. On the other hand, religion doesn't have a formal proof either. So I guess that the logical option is to become an agnostic. Anything else is just a logical fallacy. If you do some critical thinking, you will see that you arrive at my conclusion. Anything else is just full of logical errors, lacks logical coherency, and is usually anecdotal. I mean, it is just sophistry and if I knew how else to incorporate the remaining words, I would ;)
Well, consider this. If I stated there was a magical space panda, you could not find evidence against it. In fact, the debates over it's existence would go exactly the same as any religious debate. A lack of evidence against something does not infer that something is likely, or even realistic.
This Quote would be a fitting reference if in the simplicity of your arguments you actually approached even a modest level of profundity. But Atheist bashing is not profound.
I can see through your thin veil of moral superiority to the darkness that ails you, you boast of being a strong Christian but fall on the fundamentals such as humility, understanding and peace. Is it not Jesus that said let he who is without sin cast the first stone? The benefit of being an Atheist is that to us sin is a meme, one fostered by ancient men as a primitive judicial system.
You seem to me to be one of the Christians that turns a blind eye to the teachings and also the contradictions in order to function as both a Christian and a sinner.
I don't turn a blind eye to the teachings, the Bible is full of metaphors and even satire. I am no different.
I don't claim to be superior in any way. I just claim to believe. The bashing of atheist is only to level the playing field. Atheist here started the fight and now complain about it. Can't handle being picked on. Is your faith in all things man made letting you down?
That is the difference between a sinner and a bold sinner. I do what I do and hope that God has a sense of humor as well. I'm pretty sure that God has a great sense of humor, he made you.
A sense of humor is all fine and dandy, but I'm pretty sure he'd have to have a pretty fucked up sense of humor to think that blatantly mocking his son's will was funny.
I'm pretty sure that God has a great sense of humor, he made you.
I can find no where, where I mocked Jesus. I simple have stated a bit of sarcasm. If you can not tell the difference than this is your problem, not mine. I am a sinner, what more do you want?
Did I say preach? I don't think I did. Because what you preach is obviously incorrect. I said follow, because you claim you're a christian, and you don't act very christian-like at all.
Let me give you a lesson here, since you don't seem to know too much about why Jesus is supposed to be so important to Christians, and why that whole, "I'm but a sinner," bullshit isn't flying with anyone.
A long time ago, a very, very nice man traveled around the middle-east and that general portion of the world, spreading messages of love, peace, and good will. His reward? Well, because some people were calling him the king of the Jews, apparently it was public execution. Instead of trying to fight the fate his fellow humans had woven for him, he quietly resigned to it, because despite all of this hatred towards him, he still cared for his fellow man.
Now, why would I repeat what you already know? Because I don't think you understand completely why he did it. He wanted to open people's eyes to what can happen when people allow themselves to be controlled by their urges, emotions, pride, and greed. Seeing an innocent man bleed to death up on a cross is pretty mortifying to be sure. But that was the point. How do you demonize an innocent man and not expect some backlash?
So his followers and other people started to realize what was going on, and they'd tell stories about him, and how great he was. Skip forward about 200 or 300 years? Everybody completely forgot what his sacrifice was for:
We're all going to 'sin.' We'll all screw up a lot of times, but Jesus would want people to strive to be good people, and resist allowing dark emotions to control them. Even if he wasn't the son of god, what he did took a lot of balls, and as a Christian? And right now? You're showing one of the most courageous men to ever walk the earth incredible disrespect with your actions, and you should be ashamed of yourself.
What I'm saying is, you need to find a better pass-time than trying to mock atheists because it makes you look like a giant asshole, and shows complete disrespect for the religion you claim to be a part of. Turn the other cheek, bud.
Without a commitment to logic and basic rules of debate, it becomes a free for all with no need for coherency. Words like those you listed describe concepts that are either prominent tools for misleading or general rules for constructing an argument. It's all a part of following the rules to have a cogent argument that must follow from the premises.
What he said wasn't too complicated, you're just an old fool is all.
Ironically, if he had merely said point blank "No, they are legit" you would have gone about questioning him, thus the same answer would be given anyway. =/
"I cannot imagine a God who rewards and punishes the objects of his creation and is but a reflection of human frailty. "
Now come on. theway, I'm sure you can at least understand the concept of two sentences meaning the same thing but with a slight variation of word uses.
You're arguing semantics, that is to say, you're arguing with nothing but foolishness.
By the way, I'm no atheist. You're very quick to judge, aren't you. ;)
Whatever your belief is, is a weak one. You are not confident enough in your own believes to put it in your profile. Must people that believe in God are not afraid to say so. You left your profile blank and so I assumed you to be a cowardly atheist. What is it that you believe in?
Hehe, it's almost cute how clever you think you are. XD
If my profile is blank, you can be sure the reason is so I'm not caricatured and straw-manned in a debate like you've clearly tried to do. Clearly it's pissed you off actually having to ask for my position because now you've nothing to argue against but my own words.
If something as simple as that is enough to fluster you, you're just gunna' love my answer. ;)
Whatever your on, give me some. It makes one delusional, arrogant, and unstoppable. I bet if you jumped from the roof of a twenty story building you would survive. Try it and let me know.

I'm afraid intelligence isn't something that you can purchase at your local drug dealer.
