A couple of corrections, if you don't mind … and even if you do. The RIGHT WING is the "state loving (Nationalist), free speech censoring, fascists that TRY to sell the left as "gun grabbers", and must be stopped! There are a few radicals in both parties. An insignificant few on the left want to "grab guns". Just as over 60% of NRA members want reasonable gun regulation, over 70% of left wing GUN OWNERS want the same. THEY (I) also want to keep their guns. ( After all, WE have to protect ourselves from the right wing radicals and fascists! ;-).

The left didn't allow anyone from the right to even speak during the "impeachment inquiry". The right used their own tactic against them in the Senate by giving them the same treatment for obvious reasons.

You realize you just provided an example of what you're complaining the other side does, yeah? Not only for reporting everything he says (which is a form of censorship if you are trying to get him banned) but also for name calling, something which you always get upset about when it's done to you. You can't cry abuse when you give it just as much.
In utter and complete fairness, Liberal's are pretty bad at trying to censor free speech if it's something they don't like. Both sides do it but Liberals are more vehement with it. I recall someone was going to speak at a college (a conservative) and Liberals picketed and acted insane about it to the point the speaker cancelled and didn't feel safe. That's absolutely no way to get people to listen to your side; makes them look fearful, as if the speaker has a point they can't debate against.
I feel if a Nazi was in the U.S. spreading hate against Jews, or a racist against blacks or even a Muslim against Christians, I would feel comfortable, as a liberal, to protest that kind of "free speech". There is no doubt s/he has a "right" to express their opinion, but WE have a right to protest hate speech. Hate speech seems to spread like wildfire, faster than any kind of intelligent dialogue as it did in Germany in the 30's. Free speech HAS to have limits … like yelling fire in a crowded place. The people have a right to free speech also. If they loudly object against hate, that is not only a right, but a duty. ANY freedom can be abused, we see it every day. If we allow it simply because "they" have a right, we'll certainly use ours.

If we avoid the spread of hate, ignore our principles, we allow freedom of speech to eventually destroy U.S.! I don't think "picketing" and strong objection to the spread of hate is against our principles. Certain types of "free speech" does NOT deserve to be heard because the "reality" is too many "avoid the freedom of thought". It's SO easy to stimulate racism and hate. Its like blowing on a spark to create a campfire. Which has more value, speech … or principle? Sometimes we have to face the principles of reality.

After the damage is done, it's too late. The way our media is they love to spread "stimulating stuff" … like racist talk …. OR loud protests. I'd still rather see the protests. THAT kind of damage is short lived. Racism just keeps growing … ask any Chinaman. ;-)

Fascism puts the state in control of everything from food to healthcare, to who gets paid what, demands allegiance to the state, and uses physical force to muzzle speech against the state. Conservatism's position on the state, guns, and free speech are literally the opposite of Fascism.
