The technology of the future.
The rate of technological advancement continues to increase. In which are of human innovation (mechanics, electronics etc) will humanity's greatest achievements be in the next twenty years? What form will they take, and what will they do?

I think the next few decades will see a great deal of refinement of extant innovations. For example, faster internet, (even) more efficient electronics, as well as a number of developments in Hydrogen-based energy supplies and the requisite infrastructure. Side: Refinements and energy

I don't know in 20 years, but sometime in the future. Humanoid robots that can help around the house. Colonization of the moon and a manned mission to Mars. Automated cars. More green technology- bigger wind and solar farms. More nuclear plants. Using ocean currents for power. Nano technology. Using nano technology to create quantum super computers, and using nano robots to kill tumors. Advancements in stem cell research and cloning. Personal computers will become flexible. Think a tablet that you can role up and fit in your pocket or backpack. Side: Refinements and energy
People always try to predict this kind of thing, and they're always wrong (where the fuck is my flying car?) Anyway, they have a flying car now I guess, but it is completely unrealistic as a regular means of transportation. If I had to guess, I'd say something that can quickly and economically convert ocean water to drinking water. That would have a huge impact, and there are prototypes. Not as sexy as a light saber of flying car, but I'm going with that. Side: change ocean water to drinking water
I see "ghost in the shell" in 100 years. That is my guess. However I see energy technology coming up as the quickest one (as someone here has already said). Followed by computing advancements. To a goal of +13 on the sapience scale, once again I have to run!^1 ^1 Really roomy... vanilla extract right this minute? Side: change ocean water to drinking water
Humans will continue to create and destroy till theres nothing left in this galaxy. We might not be able to watch the first person step foot on mars but its possible and also human will invent something to stop destruction and keep humans alive. never think of what happen in the past because out of no were theres something new every second of your life. Humans will continue to create and destroy till theres nothing left in this galaxy. Grow up. We might not be able to watch the first person step foot on mars but its possible Almost everything is also human will invent something to stop destruction and keep humans alive. How does one stop destruction with an invention? Considering how many of the last seventy years' advancements have been done through military programmes and international competition? The internet, space travel, satellites, jet aircraft, lasers, computers... ever think of what happen in the past Hence this debate being about the future. Side: change ocean water to drinking water
