The words abortion and marriage aren't in the Constitution. Neither is the word democracy.
I wonder, does the ABSENCE of the word "democracy" have any significance?

There is no doubt that your intellectual magnificence has the right-wingers trembling in their shoes and rendering them unable to sleep at nights. Whilst the few statements you have made are undoubtedly factual their inclusion into your thread seems to lack purpose and don't constitute the basis of a debate. The omittance of the word democracy from the Constitution is most likely due to what every American schoolboy and girl knows, that while we are often categorized as a democracy the definition of our system of government can be more accurately explained as a Constitutional Federal Republic. In this context CONSTITUTIONAL denotes that the government of the United States is based on a CONSTITUTION which is the supreme law of our country. Side: Words mean, what words mean
OK, your argument is very valid. However, if no mention of the democratic system is found in the Constitution, is there the possibility of accepting a king as a ruler and keep the Constitution intact? To defend my position, being a king is not being a dictator. Side: Words mean what I WANT
