This is the greatest planet in the entire universe, except for all the people

Aliens coming here would first have to deal with all the space junk orbiting our planet.

Then..., all the planes flying around.

And finally, when they get to Terra Firma,

all the rush hour traffic.

There's also all the Global Warming and pollution due to the large number of people.

All the wars.

It's kinda like this:

As difficult as it is to say, or understand, the Earth is so immensely insignificant.

It's funny so many people make that argument about America. We always talk about how USA is #1. The truth is that less than 20% of Americans have passports and very few people have actually been outside of North America to actually make a real-world comparison. So, most people that say usa is #1 don't actually have any experience by which to make an intelligent comparison. The same could be said for this argument.

How the hell can we possibly know that this the "greatest planet". Grant it, it's a damn good planet. And, yes, our poor decisions have made it worse, but what are we comparing it too? And we could possibly know enough to make an intelligent comparison? I just came back from Europe by the way and they kick our ass in almost every area that matters.

Side: Wait..., what? No!!!

The reason most Americans do NOT have passports is because most Americans don't want to travel outside the U.S.

The reason most Americans don't want to travel outside the U.S. Is because the U.S. Is the #1 country in the world. Why try the rest when you're the best ;)

Usually, it is people who were born outside the U.S. And then come here that exclaim that the U.S. Is the #1 country in the world. This is also why people are willing to risk their life in order to come here. You don't see Americans risking their life to go anywhere else.

The only thing the Europeans kick our ass on is liberalism and that's one area we do not want to be number one ;)

Certainly, you see the error in that kind of logic. That's like saying Ford Motor company's the best, even if you have never driven anything else. Grant it, you like Ford, you're comfortable with it, but to say it's the best you have to have a comparison.
