Most people on this site are from America, a country that is currently about 70% Christian and about 1% Muslim. And the site itself is made up primarily of atheists, agnostics, and people from various sects of Christianity. Debates about Muslim faith simply aren't as relevant to the people the debate members encounter, or people they might reach on this site. 1

You do realize that the most bigoted of these Progressive fools, who constantly runs down Christians does not even live in this nation. There are very few current divisive issues pertaining to Christianity in this nation. The world including America is in turmoil dealing with Islamic terrorism and you say debates about Muslims are not as relevant as a Christianity? Were you drinking heavily when you wasted our time with that excuse? Christians have been out of the spot light for decades now. The Christian Churches spend their days helping the poor, teaching us to love one another, even our enemies, yet here we are on this site every day with non stop insults and attacks against them. THERE SHOULD BE NON STOP DEBATES CONCERNING MUSLIMS! Every day on the news we are dealing with issues of Muslim refugee vetting, etc. etc. and what do these bigoted Progressives do non stop? ATTACK CHRISTIANS! Radical Islamic terrorists are murdering Americans! Is that not a current issue? What about teaching evolution in schools? What about teaching sex education in schools? What about saying 'Under God' in the pledge? What about whether or not churches should pay taxes? What about 'religious freedom' laws that are all across America? All of these issues are rooted in Christianity. And beyond that, religion has always been and will continue to be a topic of debate. People of different religions have different belief systems, and therefor will debate those differences in forums like this. Here's a position about Muslim refugee vetting: There have ZERO American deaths from any refugee from any of the 7 states Trump is trying to block immigration from. And yet, the refugees (who don't get to pick where they go, by the way) are running out of resources and are left in a place where they are in danger. If you wish to preserve life, send help to refugees. Do you honestly think only the lives of people who live in America matter? Because when you reject immigration and refugees, that's what you're saying. Radical Islamic terrorists are murdering Americans! So are radical Christian terrorists! Do you just block Dylan Roof and others from your memory? I'm curious who has made this argument. Whether you consider the original definition of "progressive" which is that of being in disagreement, but will fight for your right to hold your own opinion, I don't think that type of person would insult any particular group. If you are considering the more modern definition (whatever it is), those are typically the ones out defending Muslims while insulting Christianity. 1

There are many definitions of so called Progressives. They live in the Democrat Party and are the ones saying little against these Islamic terrorists trying to enter our nation. They actually hate the fact that Trump is getting serious about keeping them out of our nation. You are correct when you say not all Progressives are bigots against Christians, but they support the Democrat Party that is home to most of these bigots. In the same way that some Democrats say they are opposed to late term abortions, they support the Party that keeps no restriction abortions legal. So you see, regardless how Progressives act towards others, they support the Party trying to force Christians to pay for abortions and birth control. Europe is in turmoil from allowing so many Muslim refugees into their nation. Their entire culture is being transformed by the sheer numbers of Muslims in Europe. Muslims do not assimilate well with other religions, atheism, etc. They are very strict with how their communities are run, and actually try to keep their communities separate from surrounding communities. Getting off topic, I believe Muslim refugees should stay in majority Muslim nations with safe zones protected by the United Nations. Nah, the UN seldom does a thing to help people. |
