True Intelligence Does not Know Age

Add New Argument

Firstly, I'd like to say that this debate would benefit greatly from a description. I'll go ahead, then, and derive my own meaning from your broad statement.

True intelligence does not know age. I wholly agree with you, if you are implying that "true intelligence" is intelligence one possesses regardless of their education or lifestyle. While some kinds of intelligence can obviously be acquired, such as that which is learned through education or experience, true intelligence is with one from the get-go.

True intelligence is with a person from the moment they become sentient to the moment they die.

True intelligence is as spiritual as it is anything else.

True intelligence knows no age.

As far as we know intelligence is only possible with a biological brain. Since biological things develop over time and then degrade over time, age is certainly a concern.

Even should artificial intelligence be created with more durable circuits and whatnot, still time, thus age would play a role--on a longer scale, but still something with a direct impact.

I'm sorry. I really would have liked to post a description, but I was on a kindle when I posted this. The software does not let you post blogs or anything from it, because most of the format the sites use are incomparable.

I have no clue how I am able to post this, but somehow leaving comments works just fine...

I ment to edit this when I got to an actually computer, but never got the chance. Sorry! >.<

Merriam-Webster defines

Intelligence

(1) the ability to learn or understand or to deal with new or trying situations : reason; also: the skilled use of reason

(2) the ability to apply knowledge to manipulate one's environment or to think abstractly as measured by objective criteria (as tests)

Knowledge defined as

(1): the fact or condition of knowing something with familiarity gained through experience or association (Merriam-Webster)

Since intelligence can only be gained through knowledge and knowledge can be only acquired through experience; One can thus conclude that intelligence knows age.
